The complete mRNA of the SjDicer gene is 7,796 nt and contains 28 exons, which encode a 2590 aa protein, including an amino-terminal helicase domain, a DUF283(Domain of unknown function), a PAZ(Piwi-Argonaut-Zwille) domain, two tandom RNAse III domains, and an dsRBD(double strand RNA-binding domain).
