  1. Average percentage pupation (±S.E.) of An. gambiae larvae exposed to unformulated spores and formulated Metarhizium anisopliae spores (n = 3). The carrier in each formulation (White pepper, WaterSavr, Ondina oil 917 or ShellSol T) served as the control. In case of unformulated spores the control was completely untreated. Carrier and Metarhizium anisopliae spores together formed the treatment. Hazard ratio's (HR) indicate the mortality risk in the treatments as compared to their respective controls
