Correlation between serum miR-223 expression level and liver hydroxyproline content in the infected mice. Mice were infected percutaneously with 16 S. japonicum cercariae, and sacrificed at 0, 42, 56, 70 days after infection to harvest the serum and liver samples (n = 6).
