  1. Parasitemia (as estimated by qPCR) during time of nymphal feeding 1.16 × 105 genome copies per ml. Ticks were sampled at various intervals before and after transmission feeding (freshly molted adults, adults after 35 days, and adults after transmission feeding). 50 days after molting ticks were applied to Ho-212 for transmission feeding.
