From: Analysis of kinetoplast cytochrome b gene of 16 Leishmania isolates from different foci of China: different species of Leishmania in China and their phylogenetic inference

Figure 3

The phylogenetic network of the Leishmania cyt b sequences shown in Table 1 and Figures 1,2 was built with 1000 bootstrap replicates. It was algorithm, excluding all conserved site. Distances were calculated using the Kimura 2-parameter distance. Trypanosoma brucei (M94286) is the outgroup. Each A-F panel is drawn to the scale indicated and expressed as dissimilarity per nucleotide counted over variable sites (Figures 1–2) in cyt b alignment. The dots indicate the sequence position in the network. A: Complete network with representation of the five groups shown in detail in the remaining panels; the whole network excluding the L. equatorensis and T. brucei is divided into four segments: OWL, NWL, the Leishmania sp. and L. tarentolae group, and NWV. B: The L. donovani complex includes three Chinese isolates. C: Includes the species L. tropica, L. aethiopica, L. major, L. turanica, L. gerbilli, and L. arabica. D: The New World Leishmania subgenus. E: The Leishmania sp. of this study. F: The L. (Viannia) subgenus. Strain information is shown in Table 1.
