Based upon DNA sequence similarities, specimens from the dog and both family members contained the same genotypes.
Ech = Ehrlichia chaffeensis.
Eew = E. ewingii.
Apl = Anaplasma platys.
NA = not an applicable gene target for the particular Anaplasma or Ehrlichia species.
