Ticks (N = 15) were weighed before and after capillary feeding, the tick weight increase calculated as final minus initial tick weight, expressed as Ave + S.D. (mg/tick) and compared between the group with preimmune antibodies and the other groups by Student’s t-test (*P < 0.05).
