Survival curves of mice in pTgDPA, pVAX1, PBS and Blank groups, following challenge with T. gondii RH strain. Survival time was monitored daily after lethal challenge with 2 × 104 tachyzoites of virulent T. gondii RH strain, 2 weeks after the last immunization. The mice immunized with pTgDPA were dead from day 11 to day 20, showing an increased survival time compared with mice in the control groups (pVAX1, PBS, blanking controls), which died within 8–9 days after challenge (P < 0.05).
