Ethidium bromide staining of rRNA and tRNA is shown as a loading control (lower). (B) RT-qPCR analysis of miR-281 expressed in body parts of 3- to 5-day-old female mosquitoes. The relative expression of miR-281 was calculated as normalized to 5S rRNA. The RT-qPCR data were analyzed using the 2-Δct method. Data shown represent three independent experiments with three triplicates each. P values were calculated using ANOVA.
