Protection of BALB/c mice vaccinated with rLiHyV protein plus saponin against Leishmania infantum infection. Mice were immunized and lately infected with L. infantum. The parasite burden in the liver (a), spleen (b), bone marrow (c), and lymph nodes draining the paws (d) was measured 10 weeks after challenge. Bars represent the mean ± standard deviation of the groups.
