Antiamastigote activity of the combination of imipramine and miconazole. Peritoneal macrophages infected with L. amazonensis that were left untreated or treated with imipramine and miconazole were incubated for 72Ā hours at 37Ā Ā°C. After incubation, the cells were fixed and stained. The infection rate was calculated using the formula: % infected MƘ x number of amastigotes/total No. MƘ. a imipramine b miconazoleā€‰+ā€‰12.5Ā Ī¼M imipramine.
