Vertical transmission of Chikungunya virus in Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus as determined by measuring log10 PFU/pool of larvae and adults by real time RT-PCR. The graph shows mean value of viral titer (PFU/pool) with standard deviation of larvae and adults of both mosquito species each generation. No significant difference was observed among the generations of Ae. aegypti larvae (P = 0.2223) but there were significant differences observed among the generations of Ae. aegypti adults (P < 0.0001), Ae. albopictus larvae (P < 0.0001) and Ae. albopictus adults (P < 0.0001). Significant differences were also observed among those four groups within the generation in the F1, F2, F3, F4, and F5 generations. Asterisks are indicating significant difference among those groups (*P < 0.0001, **P = 0.0055, ***P = 0.0009, and ****P = 0.0141)
