Effect of culture media (4 °C), A23187 (37 °C), ethanol (37 °C), and DTT (37 °C) on secretion of NcNTPase and NcGRA7 proteins as shown by Western-blot using respective antibodies. The same protein samples were also probed by immunoblot analyses with α-NcMIC2 and α-TUBα antibodies to confirm induced secretion and exclude inadvertent tachyzoite lysis, respectively. NcNTPase and NcGRA7 discharge was observed in culture supernatants regardless of the treatment. In contrast, NcMIC2 secretion was only evident after A23187, ethanol and DTT supplementation. Tachyzoite lysis was not detected. All the antibodies specifically reacted against their respective protein on tachyzoite extracts
