Effect of triatomine saliva on differentiated DCs. Bone marrow cells derived from C57BL/6 mice were cultured with GM-CSF (25 ng/ml) for 7 days. Immature DCs were then obtained and incubated with saliva for 18 h. The expression of CD11c and CD11b were evaluated (a-c). b Cells cultured only with culture medium. Bars represent the mean ± standard error percentage of DCs expressing molecular markers from duplicate experiments. The figure represents the highest concentration used.
