ELISA assay of immune responses triggered by the oral administration of recombinant B. subtilis spores. Specific IgG (a), IgG1/IgG2a (b), and IgA (c) levels in sera from mice orally treated with pEB03-CotC-CsCP- or pEB03-CotC-transformed spores, BL21-CsCP and PBS were detected. CsCP-specific IgG (d) and sIgA (e) levels in intestinal mucous and sIgA level in bile (f) were analysed. Data are expressed as the mean ± SD. Statistical significance was analysed by the Student’s t-test (*P < 0.05; **P < 0.01).
