Phylogenetic relationships of isolates of Ixodes woyliei n. sp. with other Australasian Ixodes spp. as estimated using cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (cox1) gene sequences. Sequences with accession numbers were obtained from GenBank, all others were generated in this study. Evolutionary history was inferred using the neighbour-joining method supported with bootstrap test of 1,000 replicates (values > 50% shown). Rhipicephalus sanguineus is used as the outgroup
