  1. Significant differences (***P < 0.001 and *P < 0.05) between C. bysta n. sp. and C. pulicaris are indicated considering the cumulative data from Slovakia (SK) and France (FR). No differences within the species and between the countries, or between C. bysta n. sp. and C. boyi, were observed. Culicoides boyi and C. pulicaris were significantly different for the AtR ratio (P < 0.05)
