Hemolytic and cytotoxic assay of HlDFS1 and HlDFS2. a HlDFSs showed no significant hemolytic effect at concentrations of 10 μM (HlDFS1) and 50 μM (HlDFS2). Red blood cells were lysed by 0.4% TritonX 100 and loaded as positive controls. b HlDFS1 and HlDFS2 showed no detectable cytotoxic effect on mammalian cell line A549, 293 T, K562 and THP1 at a concentration of 20 μM. Cell survival rates were measured by using Cell Viability Assay (Promega) according to the manufacturer’s instruction. Results are expressed as the mean ± SEM. The representative results from at least three independent experiments are shown
