Inhibitory activity of uvedalin and enhydrin on L. mexicana amastigotes. Murine peritoneal macrophages were infected with stationary-phase Leishmania promastigotes (parasite:cell ratio 5:1). After washing out the unbound parasites, STLs were added at concentrations ranging from 0 to 50 μg/ml. Results were expressed as % antiamastigote activity (% AA). Inset: inhibitory activity of amphotericin B on L. mexicana intracelular amastigotes. Values represent the mean ± SEM. No significant differences were observed between both STLs
