Cellular response before and after L. infantum infection. Splenocytes were obtained from the spleen of mice, 30 days after last immunization and 60 days after infection. Cells were stimulated with medium or stimulated with L. infantum SLA (25 μg/ml), or with each clone (1010 phages) used in the immunization (group saline was stimulated with a phages mix), for 48 h at 37 °C in 5% CO2. IFN-γ, IL-12, GM-CSF, IL-4, and IL-10 levels were measured in culture supernatants by ELISA before (a) and after (b) infection.
