Presented here are the costs saved in each scenario versus the difference in the number of positive carcasses detected, compared to the baseline scenario with their interpretation based on the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) plot. In each scenario, different proportions of animals undergo the different meat inspection methodologies, i.e. “alternative” inspection, current inspection or no inspection
