Phylogenetic relationships of SMIPP-Cs. The phylogenetic relationship between amino acid sequences of S. scabiei var. hominis (Human-SMIPP-C), S. scabiei var. suis (Pig-SMIPP-C) and S. scabiei var. canis (Dog-SMIPP-C) was estimated by Bayesian inference (accession numbers are provided in Additional file 1: Table S1). Numbers at nodes represent Bayesian posterior probabilities. The tree was rooted using Sarcoptes scabiei type hominis Sar s 1 allergen protein sequences (Yv4003H01, Yv9053H09, Yv6030H07)
