CHIKV suppresses DENV replication in cell culture assays. a Confluent monolayers of Vero cells were infected in triplicate, at 0.25 MOIs with a single virus (CHIKV, DENV1) upper panel or DENV-2 bottom panel or co-infected with CHIKV-DENV-1 or CHIKV-DENV-2. b Viral titers for DENV-1 or CHIKV mono-infection assays, DENV-1 titers for co-infected cells (Co-DENV-1) and CHIKV titers for co-infected cells (Co-CHIKV) upper panel. Viral titers for DENV-2 and CHIKV mono-infection assays, DENV-2 titers for co-infected cells (Co-DENV) and CHIKV titers for co-infected cells (Co-CHIKV). Viral titers were measured at indicated time points. The data shown represent the averages from at least 3 independent experiments. Standard deviations of the means are shown. Statistical significance was determined with Student’s t-tests
