Electron immunocytochemical studies to follow the location of PBH2 in Leishmania major promastigote forms after treatment with H2O2. a In cells treated with 25 mM H2O2 the gold labels were observed inside the nucleus (N) in clusters close to the nucleolus. Some dispersed gold particles appear also near the kinetoplast (K) and around the flagellar pocket (FP), or around the vacuoles. The arrows point at clusters of gold marks in the nucleus near the nucleolus. b In cells incubated with 100 mM H2O2, some marks appear in the nucleus (N) but less than in the previous treatment.
