rHCA59 did not obviously affect the phagocytic capability of goat monocytes. Monocytes were treated with serial concentrations of rHCA59, pET-32a protein, and PBS (control buffer) for 48 h, then cultured with FITC-dextran at 37 °C for 1 h before they were collected. Flow cytometry was used to assess the FITC-dextran internalization of monocytes and the phagocytic index is shown as a reference. Data are representative of independent experiments conducted in triplicate (*P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001)
