Schematic representation of the design for Experiments 1 and 2. Larvae allowed to develop at three temperatures (21 °C, 27 °C, and 34 °C) and emerging adults kept at the same temperature at which they were reared as juveniles, or placed at one of the other two temperatures. Densities for Experiment 1 varied (10, 20 and 40 individuals); however, only one density was used in Experiment 2 (20 individuals)
