DW-3-15 altered the viability of S. japonicum adult and juvenile worm in vitro. Male, female, and juvenile worms were incubated with DW-3-15 or PZQ at different concentrations for 24 (a), 48 (b), 72 (c) and 96 h (d). Adult and juvenile worms were exposed to the drugs for 24 h, rinsed three times with DMEM the next day, and subsequently cultured in drug-free complete DMEM for 48, 72 and 96 h. The viability was evaluated using a viability score of 0–3. The negative control group was incubated with complete DMEM with 0.1% DMSO, and complete DMEM alone was used for the control group. Significant differences compared to the negative control group are indicated by *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 and ***P < 0.001
