Neighbor-Joining tree for Culicoides spp. collected in Shangri-La based on the pairwise genetic distances among 41 mitochondrial cox1 sequences from specimens of C. tainanus, Culicoides sp. close to C. tainanus and Culicoides sp. close to C. obsoletus from Shangri-La and closest species matches from NCBI. Specimens from Shangri-La bear a number prefixed with “SGRL” (NCBI accession numbers MN513299- MN513326). Specimens containing BTV RNA are labelled by solid circles.
