Effect of H1-antihistamine drugs on the parasite burden in a preclinical mouse model. Drugs were administered orally using a single dose of 400 mg/kg or 100 mg/kg for five consecutive days to mice harboring either early or chronic S. mansoni infection. On day 56 post-infection, all animals were humanely euthanized and parasite burdens were determined by sex (male and female parasites). Points represent data from individual mice (n = 5 per group).
