Detection of DNA amplification in the loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay by a change in color. The Loa loa primer set was used to amplify genomic L. loa DNA using the colorimetric master mix containing phenol red dye and Bst 2.0 WarmStart DNA Polymerase (New England Biolabs Inc). Before amplification (T0), reactions are pink. Samples turn yellow if positive for presence of L. loa DNA or remain pink if negative, as shown in photographs after a 40-min (T40) amplification.
