Steps in the image processing of three haplogroups of Triatoma dimidiata (Hemiptera: Reduviidae) for the analysis of spot patterns. Standardization includes isometric rescaling, translation and rotation following common reference guidelines. Spot removal and cleaning were done with a macro code in ImageJ.
