The 11 genes consistently up- or downregulated at all 5 time points. Six genes were upregulated at all time points and 5 genes were downregulated at all time points. Quantification of gene expression levels was evaluated by fragments per kilobase of transcript per million fragments mapped reads (blue) and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) (red). The expression of circadian-associated repressor of transcription (Ciart); period circadian clock 2 (Per2); cartilage intermediate layer protein 2 (Cilp2); tenomodulin (Tnmd); collagen, type II, alpha 1 (Col2a1); and Wnt inhibitory factor 1 (Wif1) mRNA in diaphragms of T. spiralis-infected mice on 1, 3, 7, 10 and 15 dpi were all significantly different from those of uninfected mice (P < 0.0001).
