DIRs were usually not determined if no more than five of the mosquitoes in the group had midgut infections. Likewise, SGIRs and TRs were usually not determined if no more than five of the mosquitoes in the group contained virus in non-midgut tissues and their salivary glands, respectively. Tissues collected from the ZIKV-6A challenged mosquitoes at 21 dpi were not tested because of the small number of mosquitoes (≤ 3) that had midgut infections on 3 to 14 dpi
