Based on these, the free-living stages (unsporulated oocysts [Ou] and sporulated oocysts [Os]) cluster separately from the parasitic stages (fourth-generation merozoites [Mz4] and gametocytes [Gc]). b Soft clustering of all genes with non-zero FPKM (fragments per kilobase per million mapped reads) in the four stages was included.
