SJMHE1 treatment regulates the expression of cytokines from the splenocytes and colon of mice with DSS-induced acute colitis. On day 10, the mice were killed, and the splenocytes (a) and colon (b) from each mouse were tested for mRNA expression levels of IFN-γ, IL-4, IL-17, IL-10, TGF-β and IL-35 by reverse transcription quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR). Data are presented as the mean ± SEM of 18 mice from three independent experiments. Asterisks indicate significant difference at: *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001.
