Mosquitoes of the two strains (J, Jiego strain; M, Mengding strain) fed either a ZIKA-infected blood meal (zikv group) or a non-infected blood meal [control group (c)] were dissected at the indicated time points [2, 4, 6 days after being fed the blood meal (2d, 4d, 6d, respectively)]. Different tissues (m, midgut; sg, salivary gland) were collected for RNA extraction and sequencing.
