Sequence alignments of Hsp70 amino acid sequences indicate high similarity to their counterparts in other species. The sequence of Desil-Hsp70 is compared with Hsp70s from Araneus ventricosus (Arave), Dermacentor variabilis (Devar), Diguetia mojavea (Dimoj), Diguetia signata (Disig), Haemaphysalis flava (Hafla), Kibramoa guapa (Kigua), Plectreurys tecate (Plete), and Stegodyphus mimosarum (Stemi). A deduced ATP-GTP binding site, a putative bipartite nuclear localization signal, and a non-organellar consensus motif are highlighted as a, b, and c, respectively
