Experimental assessment of the viability of ZIKV in co-infection. The infected salivary gland homogenates from mosquitoes analyzed for viral abundance on 14 dpi were inoculated by intrathoracic injection in naïve mosquitoes, and the viral load was analyzed 7 days after infection. Statistically significant differences were observed for most groups when comparing the number of viral copies of cDNA from co-infected mosquitoes with controls (*P = 0.05, ****P = 0.00001).
