Localization of SmM28B and M28B in adult male and female of S. mansoni. SmM28B peptidase was detected in ovary (ov), oviduct (o), vitellaria (v), testes (t), and parenchyma (p) of both sexes. Interestingly, SmM28B was localized exclusively in the gastrodermis of the male but not in the female. SmM28B was not detected in muscles (m), tegument (tg), and tubercules (tu) of both sexes.
