  1. Dogs were classified according to the number of monthly doses (monthly heartworm preventives [MHWP]) or monthly equivalent doses (PH 6 or PH 12) that were dispensed over the 12-month observation period. Weighted average doses per dog were calculated, considering the number of dogs in each dose group
