Expression of ILPs and InR in Aedes albopictus mosquito developmental stages and sexes. RNA was prepared from five specimens of egg, fourth-instar larvae, pupae, sugar-feeding females and males (all adult mosquitoes were collected at the same day time; 3 days post eclosion). Samples were subjected to RT-qPCR to assess relative expression of ILP1-7 and InR. RNA levels between samples were normalized to the RPS7 gene using 2^−ΔCt method. The midline indicates the median of the relative gene expression value. Data represent three biological replicates with 10–20 individuals in each treatment and are shown as mean ± SEM, *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.005, and representative results from a single experiment are shown
