  1. After acquisition feeding A. cajennense were placed on Ho-209 and D. variabilis on Ho- 211 for transmission feeding. Ho-209 acquired infection. After transmission feeding all males and a sample of females were dissected and their guts and salivary glands tested for infection by nPCR.
