  1. 1 Each of 8 cats in the control group received no treatment. Each of 8 cats in the 19.5% w/v indoxacarb group were administered the topical spot-on according to label directions on Day 0.
  2. 2 Each cat was infested with 50 adult Ctenocephalides felis from the KS1 strain on days -2, 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 & 42.
  3. 3 Days post-treatment that eggs were collected.
  4. 4 % Adult emergence = (# of adults emerging/# of eggs collected) × 100.
  5. 5 Predicted emergence = (% emergence × geometric mean # eggs collected from Table 2).
  6. 6 % Efficacy = ((predicted adult emergence control-predicted adult emergence treatment)/geometric mean % adult emergence control) × 100.
  7. NE = no flea eggs collected.
  8. a,.b Values across rows with unlike superscripts are significantly different (P < 0.05).
