The effect of late treatment, 7 days pi, using artemisone in solid polymers. Polymers were subcutaneously inserted seven days pi. Each line represents one mouse. All control mice died of CM within 9 days pi. Delaying the treatment by one day, from 6 (Fig. 3) to 7 days pi, reduced the following latent period; mice treated with 20 mg/kg did not survive and only 2/5 mice treated with 80 mg/kg artemisone survived the infection.
