Sexual development of Eimeria tenella INRA-mCherry parasites in the chicken epithelial cell line, CLEC-213. Cells were infected with merozoites II from E. tenella INRA-mCherry. Two days p.i., parasites were visualised by m-Cherry protein expression and cell nuclei were visualized by DAPI counterstaining using fluorescent microscopy.
