In vitro dose-dependent effect of mandelonitrile on Leishmania spp. cultures. Parasite numbers were measured after 72 h of incubation in a medium containing an initial concentration of 0.5 × 106 parasites/ml and different concentrations of mandelonitrile. Mandelonitrile was tested on Leishmania amazonensis (a), L. braziliensis (b), L. infantum (c) and L. mexicana (d). Results shown are the mean and SEM of 3 to 4 independent biological replicates. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 (Dunnett’s multiple comparisons test)
