An overview of localization of gene sense transcripts in S. mansoni adult male and female tissues using FISH. Transcripts whose localizations were observed in the given tissue are highlighted in pink (females) or blue (males). Light shades represent a faint positive signal for a given transcript. Localization in the esophagus region was possible only in the sections of adult males; obtaining a representative section of the smaller females’ head region (containing esophagus) is generally problematic
