At each sampling time, the six data points correspond to six sampling units (four fecal pats per sampling unit). The x-axis on the lower plots indicates the number of weeks after fecal pat deposition, with sampling dates in parentheses. Each pasture was grazed only once for a 2- to 9-day period. Pasture 3 was not sampled at week 12 because the flags that identified the pats had been removed by wildlife
