Changes of chitin content and enzyme activity in the midgut of Ae. albopictus larvae after CHS-2 silencing. The fourth-instar larvae were dissected and the midguts of 45 larvae were collected at 24 h and 48 h after the injection of dsRNA. The content of chitin in the midgut of the larvae was determined by chitinase, and the activity of chitinase in the midgut of the larvae was determined by a chitinase kit.
