  1. Cases were considered microscopically positive or negative depending on finding of adult worm or first-stage larvae (L1). Three random tissue samples were dissected from each case at the characteristic lesions caused by S. stilesi and subjected to DNA extraction, PCR with cox1 primers, gel electrophoresis, and Sanger sequencing
